About Us

GlenWood Park Retirement Village is a continuing care retirement community established in 1968 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Community and church leaders shared a vision in the late 1950s and early 1960s of a faith based facility that would serve the aged. Today that vision stands in southern West Virginia as the only church-affiliated continuing care retirement community in the state.

Our ecumenical program includes independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care on a 50-acre campus that offers inspiring views of God’s handiwork.

Vision Statement

GlenWood Park’s plan, constantly adjusted through keen intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution, is to be the preeminent program for continuing care service and ministry in West Virginia.
